I’m a huge Trisha Ashley fan so jumped at the chance to be on the blog tour for The Wedding Dress Repair Shop.

About the book
Can her heart be mended too?

After losing her fiancé and her dream job in the same week, Garland Fairford’s life is turned upside down.
Having recently met a long-lost relative – Honey Fairford – through her work as a historical costumier, Garland is intrigued when Honey reveals she is opening a Wedding Dress museum in Lancashire. With nothing to lose, Garland accepts the offer of a job there.
What she doesn’t expect is to come face-to-face with a ghost from her past – her old friend, Thom, who mysteriously disappeared years ago.
As Garland begins reading the stories behind each of the beautiful wedding dresses, and sets about repairing both them and her relationship with Thom, could this finally be the chance for her own happy-ever-after?
So what did I think?
This is another lovely story from Trisha Ashley and this time a little different; it is a book that goes backwards and forwards from Garland’s story in the present time to a historical time period featuring Rosa-May Garland in the early 1800s. It’s lovely to learn about the link which unfolds and ties the two stories together.
As expected, and as always, she features a cast of wonderful characters and Garland is a fabulous lead, that you really root for. I could picture myself in the beautiful location of Pelican House and Pelican Mews. I’d quite like to move into that fabulous house and embroil myself in their community. What a fab place to live!
You know that when you pick up a book by this author, that you are in for a cosy, heart-warming read that makes you feel like you are wrapped up in a hug, and know that you will read them with a smile on your face. Her trademark wit and lovely romance mixed with twists and turns makes them a delight to read.
This is a big beefy book, with lots of pages which will keep you reading late into the night.
