Blog Tour Review – The Word is Love by Florence Keeling

I am super excited to be kicking off the blog tour for Florence Keeling today and her book The Word Is Love.

About the book

Lucky in life but unlucky in love, Lucy Greenfield owns a successful carriage business along with her best friend Max, and they have never been busier since their shire horses gained fame from their roles in the hit movie A Little in Love.

Too busy for romance, Lucy is surprisingly swept off her feet when Spencer arrives seeking help with his horse, and something more from Lucy. As quickly as Lucy falls, she wonders if all is not as it seems. Max can prove it, but that means he will have to express his true feelings for Lucy.

Relationships are strained as secrets unravel, and Lucy needs to solve the riddle of words to best describe how she feels… For her best friend.

Together, they must overcome what’s keeping them apart before it’s too late, if they are going to realise that the word is love.

What did I think?

I loved The Word Is Love. As always Florence’s writing is witty, warm and cosy and the book sits really well in her genre. Reading this will definitely leave you with a smile on your face and a lift in your heart. It’s an excellent escapist read which is what a lot of people are after right now and does the job perfectly.

Florence has created a gorgeous setting, that I could absolutely picture in my head and some great characters, some you will love and some not so! And some situations where I was shouting at the characters to sort themselves out because I could definitely see things that they couldn’t!

The pages kept on turning themselves. In fact at one point I was so immersed in the book that I felt like I was one of the characters and nearly went and put my wellies on to muck out the horses.

You can tell that the author knows her stuff and loves horses, this really shines through in her writing and makes it really relatable.

This was a lovely easy read and I quickly zipped through it dying to know what the outcome would be. A perfect example of losing yourself in some feel-good fiction.

Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended!
