Blog Tour Review – Here To Stay by Mark Edwards

Being a total Mark Edwards fan, I was delighted to be invited to read and review his latest book Here to Stay for the blog tour.

About the book

A beautiful home. A loving wife. And in-laws to die for.

Gemma Robinson comes into Elliot’s life like a whirlwind, and they marry and settle into his home. When she asks him if her parents can come to stay for a couple of weeks, he is keen to oblige – he just doesn’t quite know what he’s signing up for.

The Robinsons arrive with Gemma’s sister, Chloe, a mysterious young woman who refuses to speak or leave her room. Elliot starts to suspect that the Robinsons are hiding a dark secret. And then there are the scars on his wife’s body that she won’t talk about . . .

As Elliot’s in-laws become more comfortable in his home, encroaching on all aspects of his life, it becomes clear that they have no intention of moving out. To protect Gemma, and their marriage, Elliot delves into the Robinsons’ past. But is he prepared for the truth?

From the two million copy bestselling author comes a tale about the chilling consequences of welcoming strangers into your home.

So what did I think?

I don’t think a book has ever made me shout at it, as much as Here To Stay did. I was literally yelling at Elliot, the Robinson’s were driving me insane!

Mark is a wizard at putting you in a situation that you don’t know how to handle and gets you questioning yourself and other people’s morals. You think you’d handle it one way, but you probably wouldn’t and this book truly was one of the best I’ve ever read for tension that just built and built and built, increasing to such a point that you just wanted to scream the place down.

As The Robinsons moved in, the little niggly things that they did, were just annoying to start with, then just got bigger and bigger and left you totally gobsmacked at their audacity. I cannot tell you how much I detested them. The action never let up, the pac

e was fast, with one thing after another being thrown in and the book became so compelling I just couldn’t put it down, dying to know what the conclusion would be and I really hadn’t got a clue which direction it was going to take!

Mark has such a talent for writing excellent books after excellent books and never disappoints. I’m so glad I got chance to read this one and shout about it from the rooftops!

It was an absolutely brilliant read, and totally unputdownable! Hugely recommended.
