Blog tour review – Dead Mercy by Noelle Holten

I am delighted today to be part of the blog tour for Dead Mercy – Book 5 in a brilliant series from Noelle Holten.

What did I think?

Dead Mercy is another gripping installment in the DC Maggie Jamieson crime thriller series by Noelle Holten. I love how we are learning more about the cast of characters with each book who are really coming into themselves and who you really feel that you are starting to get to know well. This is book 5 and I’m still gagging to read so much more about this great cast.

You can tell that Noelle has experience in probation because she writes about it so well, without confusing the reader but also writes brilliantly about the personal lives of the cast and not only how they work together as a team but also their lives when they leave work behind.

As with all of the other books in the series, you can read each one as a standalone, but I would recommend that you read the whole series to get the full effect and understand the back stories because they are such a great form of entertainment. This would be a fantastic series to read without a break, to hibernate for a few days or weeks and read back to back.

Dead Mercy is another page-turning, all-consuming, brilliant read which really will keep you gripped from the very first page and then thinking about the characters long after you’ve finished the book. Do yourself a favour and buy the whole series. You won’t regret it.

About the book:

A brutal murder…

When a burned body is found with its teeth missing, DC Maggie Jamieson discovers that the victim may be the husband of one of her probation colleagues.

A dark history…

As the body count rises, the team becomes increasingly baffled by how the victims could possibly be connected until a clue leads them to a historical case that was never prosecuted.

A terrible secret…

In order to catch the killer, Maggie must piece together what happened all those years ago before it’s too late.
