Blog tour and review – Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks

So excited to be invited to be on the blog tour for this book.  I’ve never read anything by the author before but obviously know all about him and after reading this, I know why people speak so highly of this author who just by the introduction alone, had me totally hypnotised!

About the book

There are times when destiny and love collide.  This story is one of them .

From the number one bestselling author of The Notebook and Two by Two comes an unforgettable tale of enduring love . . .

Hope Anderson is at a crossroads. After six years with her boyfriend, she is no longer sure what she wants, and when her father becomes ill she heads to her family’s cottage at Sunset Beach in North Carolina to make some difficult decisions.

Tru Walls has been summoned across an ocean from where he was born and raised in Zimbabwe by a letter from a man claiming to be his father. In journeying to Sunset Beach, Tru hopes to unravel the mystery surrounding his mother’s life, but the letter will lead him in an unexpected direction.

When these two strangers’ paths cross, their chance encounter sets in motion a heart-breaking story – one that will transcend decades, continents and the workings of fate.

What did I think?

Just the intro alone to this book, which wasn’t even part of the story itself, had me totally mesmerised and hypnotised.

The author’s writing is just so beautiful that you are so easily transported from the sand dunes of North Carolina and beach house on Sunset Beach that I would LOVE to stay in, to the bush of Africa, that made me want to go and visit there too.  He is SUCH a gifted author, I would LOVE just a tiny bit of his talent.

Such an emotional compelling story, I had no idea how it would end and those pages just kept on going, and I read it in two sittings, constantly thinking about Tru and Hope when I wasn’t with them and for long after too.

A stunning,  rollercoaster of a love story that stirred up many emotions for me and I sincerely hope that this too, is made into a film as I shall be glued to the screen.
